1.12 Screen reader users not informed of feedback update (Positive)
1.12.1 WCAG 4.1.3 (AA) - Desktop, Mobile, iPad
On the final page of the journey, users are presented with a feedback widget titled, ‘Were you satisfied with the service?’. On completing the action, the page dynamically updates to reflect the message ‘Thank you for your feedback.’ However, this information is only presented visually—screen reader users are not informed of these updates.
Blind and low-vision users need to be informed of changes that happen on the screen via a screen reader since they would not be able to perceive these updates being visually presented.
This is similar to No notification that feedback has been sent (Positive) , where both sighted and screen reader users received no status update. Failing to ensure this would cause users to be unaware of such changes.

1.12.2 Recommendation
Ensure that dynamic changes are being communicated to screen reader users. We recommend using an ARIA live region on the tag containing the text message. This can be achieved using aria-live="polite"
which informs users of changes without interrupting their current task.
1.12.3 Spot check: April 2024
This issue has been resolved. “Thank you for your feedback” is now announced to screen reader users when it appears.
This has been changed from a ‘Low’ severity issue to a ‘Positive’ finding.
